MEET THE TEAM

Board of Directors

Rachael Collier

chair

As an islander for over 25 years, Rachel opened the award-winning The Admiral’s Arm Micropub in West St, Queenborough, which she continues to successfully run with her husband, Chris.

Rachel shares her time generously both off and on the water with her own boat and mooring at the harbour, but also as a crew member for RNLI Sheerness lifeboat, saving lives at sea.

Steve Elliot

Director of operations

At aged 6, Steve started life on the water and during his younger years was often racing dingies and diving around the east coast of Scotland.

Now Steve calls Queenborough home and aside from his day job as an engineer, he looks after the day-to-day operations at the harbour. He’s also normally on hand to deal with any disasters that nature sends our way!

Ian Bone

director of engineering

As the director of local WPH Marine services, Ian has supported the harbour for many years with his expert work on the refurbishment of the ATL, the piles installation on the hammer head and the fitting of the pontoon.

With a long career in marine civil engineering, Ian has been lucky to travel all over the world.

Harbour Operations

Danielle Russon

office manager

With a background in administration, Danielle joined the harbour team back in 2016, looking to stay working locally in Queenborough to support her young family.

With the harbour’s flexibility and support, Danielle has since gone from administration to book-keeping and is now our wonderful Office Manager, looking after daily activities to keep the harbour running.

Denis Johnson

Senior Harbour Operative

Denis has always had a passion for sailing, buying his first boat at 16, and later working on a government salvage ship servicing buoys on the River Colne.

At 22, Denis purchased “Doris Leigh”, and after extensive refurbishment, Doris travelled further afield to places like Queenborough. Little did Denis know that he would one day have the pleasure of working at the harbour.

Rob Willmott

Senior Harbour Operative

After working in the Marine Service department at Peel Ports, sadly, an accident meant that Rob was no longer able to work. Blind chance led him to Queenborough Harbour Trust, after he was given a telephone number and told to call for a job – and the rest he says is history!

Rob absolutely loves the varied role of working at the harbour and with the rest of the team.
